Project Summary
PayJoy has financed more than $3.5 billion for over 20 million customers across Latin America, Africa, and Asia, using the smartphone itself as collateral to extend credit to people the traditional banking system never reached. The product had scaled globally. The brand had not, and PayJoy tapped BX to architect its new one alongside a refreshed site. We migrated the company onto Webflow first to establish a technical foundation that could handle marketing in 18 countries and 10 languages at scale. Then came the transformation: a ground-up redesign, a new illustration system and mascot character, and a responsive design system engineered so that every one of those markets could run the brand without fragmenting it.
A brand and site rebuilt from the ground up - and engineered so it scale across eighteen markets without breaking.

Challenge
PayJoy's web presence did not look like the company PayJoy had become. It read as merely functional where the product was transformative, and it gave the brand no visual signature in markets where PayJoy is often a customer's first experience of formal credit.
Rebranding a single-market company is a design problem. Rebranding PayJoy was a systems problem. Eighteen countries and ten languages, each with its own regulatory disclosures, payment methods, and consumer expectations - plus dramatic variation in content length between locales, which quietly breaks layouts built for one language. Regional teams needed real freedom to run their own campaigns and messaging and the brand needed to stay unified globally.

Regional teams needed real freedom to run their own campaigns and messaging and the brand needed to stay unified globally.

Solution
We redesigned PayJoy's web presence end to end, building a new visual identity around an illustration system and mascot character that carry across all eighteen locales and give the brand a signature that survives translation. The design system underneath it is responsive and mobile-first by default, reflecting how PayJoy's customers actually reach financial services - on a phone, often on constrained bandwidth - so performance and accessibility were optimized for those conditions rather than for a desktop demo.
To make that identity hold across eighteen markets, we architected the Webflow CMS around modular content blocks. Regional teams adapt language, compliance footers, payment-method callouts, and local imagery without ever touching the underlying system, which keeps the brand from splintering into eighteen different experiences while giving each market genuine control over how it presents PayJoy's value. It is a locked system rather than a locked site: independence where it matters, consistency where it counts.

Outcome
PayJoy now has one brand that speaks authentically in every market it serves, and one system its regional teams can operate independently. The visual transformation reaches customers on the devices they actually use, in the languages they actually speak, under the regulatory conditions each market requires.
The work continues. New markets, deeper localization, and AI-assisted creative workflows all plug into the existing modular structure, which means PayJoy keeps expanding without buying another redesign.

New markets scale into the system, not around it. The brand grows without another redesign.
