About the Role
$80,000 - $105,000 annually ($38-50/hour for contract)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement animations and micro-interactions for websites
- Create motion graphics for marketing videos, explainers, and brand content
- Develop animation concepts that enhance user experience and engagement
- Design animated icons, illustrations, and visual elements
- Implement animations in Webflow using native tools and custom code
- Collaborate with designers and developers to integrate motion seamlessly
- Create animation guidelines and documentation for design systems
- Design video content for social media and marketing campaigns
- Optimize animations for web performance
- Present motion concepts to clients and internal teams
- Stay current with animation trends and emerging techniques
- Ensure brand consistency in all motion work
Qualifications
- 5+ years of motion design and animation experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating web animations and motion graphics
- Expert proficiency in After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with Lottie animations and web animation implementation
- Knowledge of CSS animations, JavaScript animation libraries (GSAP, etc.)
- Understanding of Webflow animation capabilities and limitations
- Strong sense of timing, pacing, and kinetic typography
- Experience creating animations optimized for web performance
- Ability to balance creativity with technical constraints
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 3D animation experience (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus
- Video editing and post-production skills
